Sometimes you get into conversations with your children, and they don't end the way you might expect...
On the drive home from school yesterday, Gareth noticed that an advertising billboard at the local mall had changed. He asked how it happenned and I took the opportunity to speak with him about choosing a career.
I said, " It is somebody's job to change the sign. They get paid to climb up a ladder and take down the old picture and put up a new picture. Do you think you might like a job changing signs?"
"No."
"What kind of job do you want when you grow up?"
Very emphatically, "I want to be a Mad Scientist."
At this point Harald joined the conversation.
"Mad Scientist. Uncle Paul is a Mad Scientist. Or maybe he is an Evil Genius. What do you think?"
Enter Charlotte "Evil Genius....I want Uncle Paul to be an Evil Genius!!"
As I type, I am shaking my head in much the same way as I did during the actual conversation...my family is *just weird*
